Our kitchen teams are made up of talented individuals.

We are very proud of The Barn at Moor Hall and the team we have assembled to support it, led by chef patron Mark Birchall and the head chef. Recently awarded a Michelin star, The Barn, Mark Birchall’s neighbourhood restaurant, offers outstanding seasonal dishes in a charming rustic setting.

 

Key Skills

We are looking for a strong, motivated individual, ideally someone who has worked in a similar role within the hospitality industry. The person will be a leader, team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Day to day

As a Sous Chef, you will be required to work under the direction of Mark Birchall and the head chef in the preparation and service of food ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times. You will be expected to manage the kitchen in the absence of the head chef. Ordering, stocktaking, rota’s and people management will be part of the weekly routine.
