This March, we mark a momentous occasion— eight incredible years of Moor Hall. From the moment we opened our doors in 2017, our ambition was to create something truly special, to craft an experience that reflects the beauty of our surroundings, the dedication of our team, and the excellence of our ingredients.
What began as a vision has grown into something beyond what we could have imagined, and today, we are humbled to share a milestone that means the world to us— Moor Hall has been awarded 3 MICHELIN Stars in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide.
A Journey of Passion, Craft, and Dedication
Every step of this journey has been shaped by passion, precision, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.
- 2017 – Moor Hall opens its doors, setting out to redefine fine dining in Lancashire.
- 2017 – Just months after opening, we receive our first MICHELIN Star—a defining moment for our team.
- 2018 – The dream continues as we are awarded 2 MICHELIN Stars, a recognition of our commitment to craft, seasonality, and creativity.
- Alongside us, The Barn thrives, earning its own MICHELIN Star, becoming a beloved destination in its own right.
- 2025 – A historic moment for Moor Hall, as we receive the highest accolade in gastronomy: 3 MICHELIN Stars.

Further Reading
Lancashire is a land of abundance. Our gardens teem with fruit and vegetables and flowers and herbs. In season here you might eat peas straight out of the pod, so fresh all they need is a touch of salt and nasturtium oil. What we don’t grow we seek out from the amazing produce tended and nurtured by local farmers and artisans.
On site we’re also busy with charcuterie, bread-making and our own micro-dairy. There’s always something interesting to explore or a discovery to be made. And we like to share what we find.
We are delighted to share that Moor Hall has been named the No. 5 restaurant in the UK at the National Restaurant Awards 2026.
