Moor Hall and The Barn make the Squaremeal Top 100.
We’re delighted to share that Moor Hall Restaurant with Rooms and The Barn at Moor Hall have both been included in the SquareMeal Top 100 Restaurants 2026, continuing a run of recognition for dining at Moor Hall.
The inclusion of both restaurants in SquareMeal’s highly regarded list is something we’re incredibly proud of and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional food, warm hospitality and memorable experiences for our guests.
Moor Hall Restaurant with Rooms continues to be praised for its complete dining experience, from refined seasonal cooking to the sense of place created by the gardens, grounds and rooms. SquareMeal describes it as:
“Mark Birchall’s magnum opus is a stunning example of big-picture thinking. Birchall’s classy seasonal cooking is just the start of what makes Moor Hall special – acres of grounds supply fresh produce year round, and the whole experience is one that makes you feel very special.”
Meanwhile, The Barn at Moor Hall remains firmly established on the list, following its first appearance in 2024. SquareMeal highlights its relaxed approach and welcoming atmosphere:

Lancashire is a land of abundance. Our gardens teem with fruit and vegetables and flowers and herbs. In season here you might eat peas straight out of the pod, so fresh all they need is a touch of salt and nasturtium oil. What we don’t grow we seek out from the amazing produce tended and nurtured by local farmers and artisans.
On site we’re also busy with charcuterie, bread-making and our own micro-dairy. There’s always something interesting to explore or a discovery to be made. And we like to share what we find.
